Rusty donates 'Right Coast Relief' tees to East Coast surf shops

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 21 December, 2012 : - - Rusty donated 1000 custom 'Right Coast Relief' tees to East Coast surf shops severely affected by Hurricane Sandy. Each shop received a full size run of the custom designed tee representing the impacted regions. The donated tees retail for $22 each with 100% of the proceeds going directly to each retail store.

"Rusty has been part of the surf culture on the East Coast for over 25 years," says Charlie Setzler, President of Rusty North America. "After years of support by the retail community, it is our turn to help our East Coast family."

The Rusty "Right Coast Relief" tee is part of the brand's commitment to help retailers rebuild after the destruction caused by Hurricane Sandy.

"We are very overwhelmed here with the situation but are charging ahead," says Brain Farias, owner of Farias Surf Shop in Ship Bottom, New Jersey." There is progress being made every day and the support coming from brands like Rusty and their 'Right Coast Relief' t-shirt with 100% of sales benefiting my shop, means a lot. We have a strong community here and that is evident more than ever now. We will be back and better than ever come summer!"

In addition to raising funds for the damaged surf shops, Rusty will be including the tee in their Fall 2013 Collection and will be donating a portion of sales to the American Red Cross to aid in East Coast reconstruction projects.

The "Right Coast Relief" tees feature a line drawn sketch of the iconic New Jersey Casino Pier and the Statue of Liberty.

Tees are available now just in time for Christmas at exclusive East Coast accounts and will be available in specialty stores nationwide in mid-March.
