Water safety maven Shawn Alladio travels to the Middle East

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 5 February, 2013 : - - Shawn Alladio will be speaking at the 21st Dubai International Boat Show. Although the Middle East is not known for heavy water and daring big-wave rescues, Alladio will be speaking at one of the largest gatherings of watercraft enthusiasts in the world.

The symposium will take place in the DIMC at Mina Seyahi. The Symposium will consist of expert speakers, exhibits and displays that will support the theme of Convene, Connect and Create to enhance safety in powerboat racing. 

There will be individual days each dedicated to Drivers, Officials, and Venue Safety addressing all categories of racing such as Offshore, Jet Ski, Circuit Racing tunnels, O classes and Thundercat. Specific sessions on Rescue, Anti-Doping and Insurance/Liability are also included.

A large cast of internationally known speakers will share their experience and knowledge during the sessions. The formats have been designed to maximize the know-how transfer between attendees and between attendees and the session leaders. Anyone with a passion and interest in powerboat racing should attend and that includes all age groups and experience levels.

The Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), world governing body for all power boating activities is fully recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), in conjunction with the UAE Marine Sports Federation, the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC), the Dubai Sports Council and the Dubai Trade Center, welcome you to the 2nd UIM Dubai International Powerboat Safety Symposium taking place on March 5-7, 2013 at the 21st Dubai International Boat Show.
