Gromsocial.com & National Scholastic Surfing Association to partner for Championships

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 18 March, 2013 : - - Gromsocial.com, a Youth Social Networking site, will be taking its place on the beaches of Hawaii, Florida and California this spring and summer with appearances at five Regional Championship Events, culminating at NSSA National Championships in world famous Surf City USA, Huntington Beach, California in June 2013.

The newly formed partnership with the National Scholastic Surfing Association will be focused on highlighting the most outstanding performance by an athlete with the Grom Social Performer of Day Award during each day of competition at the respective events.

It’s really exciting to watch how quickly Gromsocial.com is growing globally,” said GromSocial.com creator Zach Marks. Featuring NSSA and the amateur surfing community on the site and being on the beach at the events is awesome. It will directly help connect kids all over the world with the sport of surfing as well as sharing a super cool online environment that is fun and safe for kids.”

Gromsocial.com will be providing computer access at the mobile “Grompound” and under the tents for groms to come check out the newly launched youth networking site. With over 50,000 in attendance expected overall, this is a great opportunity where families can learn about the site as well as internet safety without missing a minute of the top level competition.

The 2013 NSSA Championship Series events included this year are the Hawaii Regional Championships at Kewalo Basin in Honolulu, Hawaii on March 17-23, East Coast Regional Championships at New Smyrna Beach Inlet, FL April 4-7; the West Coast Regional Championships at Huntington Beach Pier, CA May 16-19; the NSSA National Interscholastic Championships at Salt Creek June 15-17 and NSSA National Open/Explorer Championships in Huntington Beach Pier, CA June 26-July 3.
