Spy accepts N3L Optics vender of the year award

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 20 March, 2013 : - - N3L Optics® recognizes SPY® as its 2012 Vendor of the Year. In its inaugural year, the N3L Optics Vendor of the Year award was presented to SPY for its progressive and technical advancements in eyewear design. As a leader in the sport and active lifestyle sunglass category, N3L Optics’ product assortment encompasses the world’s top sunglass brands, such as SPY, Maui Jim, Rudy Project, Oakley, VonZipper, Smith Optics, Arnette and more.

Selection of the Vendor of the Year award underwent careful consideration, evaluating all facets of the business including product innovation, supply and distribution, operations, training and marketing. In addition to the day-to-day operations, N3L says the one thing that made the SPY team stand out above the rest was their unyielding business partnership and commitment to make N3L Optics the destination for SPY sunglasses.
“SPY is a great company to work with,” says Ken Brackett, N3L Optics Senior Buyer.

“They make our job easier with timely communication and high fill rates. Todd Madsen and Megan Copeland are true professionals in every sense of the word and we are fortunate to have them supporting our business.”

In 2012, SPY sales at N3L Optics experienced a 16% comp sales growth, which was fueled by strong new style releases, bold and fun color stories, front window marketing campaigns and creative Ken Block product collaborations–including an in-store athlete appearance with Ken Block himself–and excellent supply management.

“SPY has done an incredible job at releasing new styles that have consistently hit the mark in the action sports lifestyle category, making them one of the hottest brands in the industry right now,” says Bobby Dean, N3L Optics Product Gearu. “To top it off, they’re continuing their momentum by adding fresh innovation and fun marketing to the industry with their new Happy Lens™.  I’m excited to see how the new lens technology performs and to learn what SPY will be doing next.”

Inspired by their enthusiasm for SPY’s new Happy Lens™ marketing campaign, N3L Optics worked with SPY on front window installations for all its stores featuring the revolutionary lens technology, now through April 2.
