Phillip Island is approximately 2 hours from Melbourne International Airport and is Victoria’s leading tourist destination attracting approximately 3.5 million visitors each year. It has over twenty recognised surf breaks ranging from quality beach breaks to right and left hand reef and point breaks. The 2006 Roxy Pro Women’s Surfing Festival will be a completely mobile event aimed at putting the world’s best female surfers into a variety of challenging surfing conditions.

Accommodation:
There are over 140 accommodation options on Phillip Island covering all budgets.
For details and bookings contact the Phillip Island Information Centre,

Surfing Equipment:
January on Phillip Island could see a variety of surfing conditions but most likely surfers will require boards to handle the 3 to 6 foot size range on beach and reef breaks. Water temperature will see surfers most likely needing spring suits, 3x2 ml steamers or similar. Please also remember to bring a hat, water and plenty of sunscreen.
