K&M Stacker arrives for the 30th Anniversary of Buffalo’s Big Board Surfing Classic
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 24 February, 2006 : - - K&M Stacker of Carlsbad, Ca. recently announced in conjunction with Buffalo Keaulana and Bunky Bakutis, that they would be sponsoring awards to the finalists during the 30th Anniversary of Buffalo’s Big Board Surfing Classic, March 4-12 2006. K&M Stacker proudly presents it’s product as the premier item with the Buffalo Logo for this event. The Keaulana’s have exclusively offered K&M Stacker this incredibly unique sponsorship. The limited edition Camo Stackers for Buffalo’s Big Board Surfing Classic are destined to be collector’s items. The K&M Stacker is the accessory for protecting your surfboards. Its prolific design provides the ultimate cushion and traction between surfboards. No more wax jobs, shatters, dings, stress fractures from tightening of the straps.
Owner of K&M Stacker, Shawn Allen Maxfield, was quoted as saying, “I would not have expected this kind of compliment and belief in our product so early in our conception. I know the quality and durability of the Stacker will more than speak for itself. I am proud to be one of the sponsors for this event and am looking forward to spending time there with everyone for this special event.” When speaking with Robert "Bunky" Bakutis, a longtime supporter of the event Buffalo Keaulana founded, “what I like about them is that they can double for a number of different uses. Not only are they great for boards, they are wonderful for tired surfers to stretch out on after a long session deserving of a nap. When rolled it fits perfectly under my neck and puts me into outer space cruise control. In addition, the camo makes for good duck blind material. Thanks for the ‘all purpose invention!’”
About Buffalo’s Big Board Surfing Classic. In 1976, on Buffalo’s return from sailing the Polynesian voyaging canoe Hokule'a on its maiden voyage to Tahiti, Keaulana felt there was a huge need to reawaken Hawaiian values of FUN and camaraderie in surfing contests. He continues to keep that goal alive and well alongside a strong emphasis on family. For more information call 808-479-5925; Classic hotline, 668-9712.
