Double win for Ben Dunn at Hyuga, takes out both the WQS & Pro Junior

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 21 May, 2006 : - - The Hyuga Pro 4 star WQS and Kustom Pro Junior events wrapped up today with the semi-finals and finals in both events being the heats run off today. Benn Dunn had an outstanding day winning both the WQS event and the Pro Junior event. Dunn also won in Pro Junior semi-final heat, whilst he cam in second in his WQS semi-fianl heat.

The WQS win has rocketed Dunn to 5th palce from 29th in the WQS Ratings. Dayyan Neve who placed 4th today has moved into second place on the ratings. Scroll down below the results for the latest WQS ratings following this event ..........

Hyuga Pro continues with improved weather and waves

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 20 May, 2006 : - - An excellent day of surf today for the Hyuga Pro 4 star WQS and Kustom Pro Junior events. Conditions continued with 3-4 feet waves with strong offshore winds. Sunday will see the final day of action. Semi Final 1 has 2 USA,1  Japanese, & 1 Australian surfer battling for a place in the final. Australia is guaranteed two surfers in the final from Semi-Final 2 which is an all Australian affiar.

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 19 May, 2006 : - - The Hyuga Pro continued today with Day 3 of action. Heavy rain occurred early on but it then cleared to sunshine. Good conditions with 3-4  feet surf and side shore winds. 16 surfers remain in contention.

Tomorrow will see action re-commence with the round of 32.

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 18 May, 2006 : - - The Hyuga Pro continued today in 2 -3 feet surf with rainy conditions. No wind and foggy conditions made it hard and the prediction is for similar conditions tomorrow. There is a typhoon approaching so the swell should be on the increase.
