Shark Sightings Close North Shore Beaches

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 23 May, 2006 : - - Shark Sightings on Oahu's north shore have prompted lifeguards to post warning signs at two beaches. Around 1:30 PM, four sharks were spotted near Chun's Reef. Lifeguards warned swimmers and surfers about the sharks. Some of the beach-goers heeded the warnings, others decided to stay in the water.

Two of the sharks were estimated to be about 13 feet long. Then about an hour later, sharks were spotted near Laniakea Beach. Lifeguards also warned swimmers in that area. Warning signs have been posted at both beaches.
