Surfing America Industry Alert: Lost Energy Drink Named Title Sponsor of ISA World Surfing Games

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 7 September, 2006 : - -  San Juan Capistrano, CA -  Surfing America – the National Governing Body for the sport of surfing – is proud to announce that Lost Energy Drink has entered into an agreement to be the Title Sponsor for the 2006 ISA World Surfing Games.   

The 2006 Lost Energy ISA World Surfing Games, which brings together upwards of 30 countries, is being hosted by Surfing America in Huntington Beach on October 14th – 22nd, 2006. 

The 2006 Lost Energy ISA World Surfing Games, produced by Surfing America will bring the best surfers from around the globe to Huntington Beach to compete on behalf of their respective countries.  The ISA membership includes the surfing National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of over 50 countries in six continents. 

The event is sanctioned by the International Surfing Association (ISA) - the world governing body for the sport of surfing, recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).  Surfing America is the ISA-recognized NGB for surfing in the United States and is responsible for holding the official USA Championships and for selecting and fielding the official USA Surf Team.

The event takes place over the course of nine days with surfing competition and event festivities, including the notable and colorful Parade of Nations.

Top surfers from more than 25 nations, including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, France, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, South Africa, Tahiti, the United Kingdom and our own USA team will represent their countries as they compete for individual and team medals.
