Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 4 March, 2007 : - -  Monday March 5th at 4 pm the general public and surfing community is welcome and asked to join the official Noosa Festival of Surfing 2007 opening ceremony at Noosa main beach, first point.

4pm                       MC John Stokes (ABC Radio) welcomes and intros band "Montserratt"
4.05-4.15               Music break
4.15                       Stokesy intros Norm Innis for quick welcome, Norm throws to Ms Jan Jarratt,
                              member for Whitsunday's representing Premier Beattie
4.20                       Stokesy welcomes indigenous representatives.possibly 2 min speech Mrs Eve Fesl
4.25                       Stokesy intros Hawaiian dance troupe
4.35                       Brian K leads official party onto stage with bowl. Brian speaks.
4.40                       MC invites representatives by name to mix water
4.50                       Official party paddles out. MC invites all surfers to follow, intros band to play while paddle out in progress.
5.10pm                  Brian K leads surfers on party wave in to conclude ceremony.
6pm - 7.30pm        Registration - Noosa Heads SLSC.
7.30pm - 8pm        Competitors Briefing Noosa Heads SLSC.
8pm - 10pm           Montserrat Caribbean Band Noosa Heads SLSC.

Noosa Festival of Surfing supporting partners includes: Global Surf Industries, Sunshine Coast Daily, Queensland Events, Tourism Noosa, Noosa Council, ASP Australasia, Coastalwatch, Surfing Australia.
