Curren Caples, Dane Zaun, and Tyler Flanagan Star In FUEL TV’s “New Pollution”

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 9 March, 2007 : - - Airing Sunday, March 11, at 8:00 pm Eastern Time (5:00 pm Pacific Time), and re-airing another seven times during the week, skater Curren Caples, surfer Dane Zaun, and snowboarder Tyler Flanagan star in FUEL TV’s original 30-minute series “New Pollution.” 

Watch as 11-year-old Caples skates all over the streets of Ventura, California, hoping to ultimately to go pro. “Never having to work, like, a real job,” he says. Not only is he fast and skilled on his board, but loves going to the slot race car track to speed past any challenger. Caples’ sponsors include: Element, Hurley, S-One, Adio, Bones, Momentum Surf Co., Indy, and 1685. 

Zaun, 16, claims his favorite school subject is the surf team and loves to surf the waves of El Porto, California. But his other favorite hobby right now is learning how to drive. Soon he’ll rule land AND water. Zaun’s sponsors include: Billabong, Globe Shoes, Von Zipper Sunglasses, Spyder Surf, Sex Wax, Sector Nine Skateboards, and Blackline pads.

Conquering the slopes of Mammoth, 13 year old snowboarder Flanagan used to think snowboarding was “like the stupidest thing ever, you know, like golf,” but soon got his niche. He’s always up for a little game of sting-pong. Flanagan’s sponsors include: Volcom and Vans. 

Each half-hour episode of “New Pollution” features three of the best young athletes from across the core action sports realm: surf, snow, skate, bmx, fmx, and wake. These athletes are all 16 years of age or under, who display potential to become the next pro sports name. Hosted by professional surfer Matt Beacham, viewers get an inside look at the lives of these amazing young athletes.
