About the Latin American Surfing Association
The Latin American Surfing Association -ALAS- was founded on the year 2000 with the main goal of promoting the sport of surfing in Latin America, creating an internal tour to act as a platform of professional competition for the growing number of surfers in our countries. On 2002 ALAS held for the first time in history a sequence of contest that consecrated the first Latin American Pro Surfing Champion; the Latin Tour continued and grew with the years, reaching the coasts of twelve Latin American countries.

Now a day, ALAS control and execute professional surfing contests among all over Latin America, defining with this the Latin Champions on the Open Pro, Pro Junior, Ladies and Longboard divisions.
