Quiksilver Pro Africa Presented By Virgin Mobile Covered From Every Angle

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 27 March, 2007 : - -  Durban -  The Quiksilver Pro Africa is set to break grounds with its revolutionary new live viewing systems. The Quiksilver team have come up with a myriad of new options to watch this event live, so that everyone interested can get a glimpse of their favourite surfing stars competing in the event.

Not only will Quiksilver have a live webcast and live results system on the official event website quikproafrica.com  but it will also be possible to watch a live result system via your cellphone on the mini mobile website quikproafrica.mobi There will also be event updates each day on the Quiksilver Mxit portal, photos and downloads via the Bluezone system on the beach and the event will also be covered on Myspace. myspace.com/quikproafrica.

Webcasting (live video-feed with commentators and a live results system) has been a standard for surf events word-wide, but Quiksilver offers you more with the Quik Clips (highlight packages) of the day and the comments option where you can email or sms the commentators who may then read your comment live!  These services are available through the official event website.

The mini mobile website is a first of its kind in South Africa.  It offers you live results on your cellphone.  It also offers downloadable Quik Clips, a Zigzag Magazine swell forecast (also downloadable) and photo gallery of the event that you can save to your phone!  There is also a dedicated sms number that will send you the link to the mini mobile website (sms Quik Pro and your name to 34977).
