Moskito Tour 2007 is Pan European Event

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 6 July, 2007 : - -  This year the moskito tour, organised by Electric, Globe, Santa Cruz, FCS, is truly pan european : 7 events in 4 countries!  For  kids of all levels: Boys under 14, 12 Girls under 16
 
We started our European tour in Portugal / Costa da Caparica – Praia do Castelo @ Jamming Beach Club. 82 potential champions … 28 April and 1st May. This first leg was a great success with warm weather, good waves and a  good vibe! All the ingredients for another successful ELECTRIC MOSKITO TOUR in Portugal.

In 4 to 6 feet windy waves  (didn't help the organization run the event)  despite the testing conditions the surf level started to come around and we saw some killer performances from the portuguese young generation. Next stop France with two legs in the “North”! The first invasion took place in France's Vendee region in partnership with Julien 'vico' Hammel's at les Sables d’Olonne.

The 6th of May, 40 local kids were 'all over' the testing 1 foot conditions. Same number of competitors for our 3rd leg in Brittany. On Saturday 13th May, La Torche’s weather conditions were testing with strong winds etc.  The surfers from the north put on a great show and we were really impressed with the level.
 
The UK leg of the Moskito Tour ‘went off’ on the 2nd – 3rd of June, at Fistral Beach! With just under a 100 groms entering the 2 day event had perfect conditions. The UK leg of the European Moskito Tour has proved to be the best yet in 2007! With kids of all ages entering the event, the youngest competitor being 5 year old, the Moskito Tour 2007 was deemed a huge success! For more Information email: moskitotour@yahoo.fr
