Boardriders TV Episode 13: Roxy Surf Jam, Kassia and Crystal

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 27 July, 2007 : - - What a great mix we have for this show. As this is the only fully authentic South African surf, skate and snow show, we dive in to give you the viewer a great cross section of boardriding at its best. From Heavy Metal skating to graceful girls surfing, we deliver it all.

We kick into gear with the Heavy Metal Skate Tour. This trip was a fist full of metal, with rockstars Miles Davis, Yann Horowitz, Ice Pick, and a whole bunch more on board. With “The Goat” as their heavy metal tour guide, the crew climbed into the Quik van, cranked up the Black Sabbath and Motorhead, and headed out. They hit the street spots and parks in PMB, JHB and P-Town like it was a Maiden concert.
 
Then it’s off to Cape Town for the more sublime Roxy Surf Jam. The girls score some decent waves in the Cape and are seen laying down some big turns, proving why the Roxy Surf Jams are such a vital stepping stone for women’s surfing in South Africa and abroad.

This leads onto the final segment, a short lifestyle/profile segment on two global Roxy surfers, multi-talented Kassia Meador and Crystal Dzigas, giving us a brief but glorious insight into the wonderful lifestyle and experiences of being a Roxy team rider.
