 Quiksilver State Junior Titles - NSW - Class Field Set To Surf Off On The NSW Central Coast For State Titles

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 13 August, 2007 : - - An exceptional field of surfers will line up on the Central Coast of NSW to compete for probably the hardest state junior title on offer at the Quiksilver State Titles, NSW. The field is simply amazing with numerous world rated and world junior champion surfers competing for the titles across under 14, 16 and 18 Boy and Girl divisions.

Winning a Quiksilver NSW Junior state surfing title is a special achievement. This state produces more world class surfer than probably any region in the world and the long surf rich coastline is riddled with classy surfers and waves alike. The list of past winners highlights the significance of this event and includes surfing greats like, Mark Richards, Pam Burridge, Cheyne Horan and Tom Carroll to name just a few.

While winning will be their primary aim, qualifying for the NSW state team which will go on to compete in South Australia at the Quiksilver Australian Grommet Titles in December is the other major reason to make the semi’s and finals at this event.

Around 200 surfers will compete and these talented surfers have already qualified for this event through a variety of regional elimination rounds extending from the far north coast of NSW through to the south coast and just a few of the already high profiled young talents who will compete include Garrett Parkes and Sally Fitzgibbons (world junior champions 2007/Portugal), Owen Wright, Davey Cathels and Laura Enever.

Their great records will mean nothing when they line up on the Central Coast this week with countless new emerging talents eager to chase their surfing dreams at this important event. The Shelly Beach venue will be ideal, the swell forecast is very promising and with multiple quality sandbanks we are set for sensational surfing across the five days.
