Scott Chandler and family win 2nd annual Loews Coronado Dog Surfing Champs

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 23 August, 2007 : - - Extreme big wave surfer and waterman Scott Chandler, and his 8 year old daughter Tyler, and their dog Zoey win the 2nd annual Loews Coronado bay hotel and resort dog surfing championships held in Imperial Beach California Aug, 18th.

Chandler and family put on another awesome show for over two thousand spectators on the beach while the three of them did tandem manuvers. Chandler even did one wave stand-up paddle with his dog Zoey including a big floater at the end of the wave which won most radical manuver of the day.

Over 50 dogs entered the event all paying a entry fee, all the proceeds went to the Good Neighbor Partner Program, to help out several needy causes.   The Chandler family and dog Zoey have been featured surfing on such shows as, Good Morning America,   The Montel Williams Show,  ESPN Sports Center,   and several other major national T.V. Shows.

Chandler says he loves sharing the sport of surfing with others all over the world and this is a great way for dog lovers to get in the mix. Congradulations  Scott , Tyler and their Jack Russell Terrier,  Zoey.
