EXPERTS TO SPEAK AT SACRED CRAFT CONSUMER SURFBOARD EXPO

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 13 September, 2007 : - - Del Mar, Ca -- On October 13 & 14, along with display booths representing virtually every major American surfboard company, the SACRED CRAFT Consumer Surfboard Expo will be holding a first-of-its-kind series of panel discussions presented by San Diego Solar, featuring some of the world's leading experts in surfboard manufacturing and design.

"We are excited to be a part of the SACRED CRAFT Consumer Surfboard Expo," explained San Diego Solar CEO Dirk S. Hosmer. "Being an avid surfer myself, and a guy who loves surfboards, being a part of this expo is a natural fit for us. Moderated by former SURFER magazine editor Sam George, panel members will directly address the audience on a variety of hot topics. Each panel discussion will include some of the biggest names in surfboard design and manufacturing.

Surfers will hear from legendary shapers like Al Merrick, Rusty Preisendorfer, Gary Linden, Mike Eaton and Mickey Munoz, as well as new millennium stars like Matt Biolos and Timmy Patterson. Fin talk with Mark Stavron,  Tyler Callaway, Jimmy Robertson, Mike Caldwell and Larry Allison, color schemes by Drew Brophy, and the latest in new manufacturing techniques from Boardworks, Firewire, and others.

The surfboard industry is experiencing a period of major innovation and creativity-so why just read about it? 2:00-3:00: The Kahunas-a candid history of the surfboard industry from the guys who shaped it by hand, featuring Mickey Munoz, Dick Metz, Mike Eaton (tbd) and Terry Martin

4:00-6:00pm: The Surf Chiefs: Pull up a beer or glass of wine and listen to rockin' surf guitar from the legendary Del Mar trio

11:00-12:00: Offshore Winds-the globalization of the surfboard industry with reps from ...Lost, Channel Islands, Boardworks, 9Fish, and Moonlight Glassing.

2:00-3:00: Color Your World-a do-it-yourself board-painting demo from renowned surfer/artist Drew Brophy
