Oakley Xpress Yourself Presented By Globe moves up to a 2 star event!

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 5 October, 2007 : - - The Under 16 Boys and Under 16 Girls categories of this weekend’s Xpress yourself event have now been boosted up to 2 star events, the biggest on the UK Pro surf Grommet tour!

These categories have also increased prize money to a £200 purse for finalists and therefore higher points are rewarded to the higher ranked surfers of the event. Jeremy Festa, Oakley Core Sports Marketing commented on the sudden change of prize money.

“Oakley are proud to be supporting the only 2 star event on the UK Pro Surf Grommet Tour. With a higher money purse in the 2 categories, this will make the surfers compete harder for the grand prize! With the outlook of fun surf and good weather, this is looking to be a epic weekend for competitors and spectators alike.”
