NO COMPETITION SUNDAY JAN. 27 - POOR CONDITIONS

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 27 January, 2008 : - - There will be no competition for the Monster Energy Pipeline Pro, presented by Billabong, Sunday due to howling winds and generally poor surf conditions. The holding period for this event started today and will run through February 6, requiring three full days of competition to run to completion.

Event status will be announced each morning via an email alert for media. It will also be posted on-line at www.billabongpro.com, as well as on the official hotline: (808) 638-RUSH.
