Dean Randazzo in fourth round of Hodgkin's treatment

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 29 January, 2008 : - - Dean Randazzo has given a lot. His reckless yet smooth surfing has been a pleasure to watch for decades. His accomplishment as the first and only surfer from the Northeast to qualify for the World Championship Tour has provided a blueprint to emulate.

His determination to continue battling through events around the world without solid backing has been admirable. His ability to manhandle surfers half his age has made us stand up and cheer. His ongoing struggles against Hodgkin’s Disease has been inspirational. Now, Dean needs us.

A fourth round of treatment has put a strain on Dean’s financial situation. With a fiancé and young son, he is suddenly faced with the inability to compete and earn a living in the face of mounting expenses. With help, New Jersey’s greatest surfer will defeat his latest challenge and inspire us once again. He has not asked for help. He had nothing to do with this letter.
