    Tickets Selling Out Fast for South African Surfing Awards Presented by Zigzag Surfing Magazine

    Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 7 February, 2008 : - - The second annual South African Surfing Awards, presented by Zigzag surfing magazine, is taking place at the ICC in Durban on 16 February at 18h00. Tickets are selling out fast and only a limited number are still available to the public for the awards.

    The event is set to be a cracker, with a black tie evening celebrating the best of the best in South African surfing over the past year, including the breakthrough performance by Jordy Smith on the world stage, Grant ‘Twiggy’ Baker riding some of the biggest waves ever, and a host of other performances and legends being recognised.

    A solo acoustic performance by muso, Farryl Purkiss will be enjoyed in between the awards ceremony. The MC for the evening will be popular 5fm DJ Kevin Fine. A silent auction will also be hosted on the evening, with all proceeds going to building a library for Sibhekulwandle Primary School, located in Hibberdene on the KZN South Coast.

    The evening is going to be capped off with the official after party at Tilt nightclub from 10pm onwards, featuring premiere SA act Goldfish performing live. To book please contact Tanille Steel on tanille@zigzag.co.za or 031-533 8300 - pull in and join us for an epic evening celebrating South African surfing. Tickets cost R300 per person which includes dinner and after-party admission.
