Big wave surfer Tyler Fox joining up with Imperial Motion

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 15 February, 2008 : - - Big wave rider Tyler Fox joins Imperial Motion as its latest "underachiever," although he hardly falls into a category of sub-par performance.

With career highlights that include Runner-Up for the Billabong XXL Biggest Wave in '05, 2nd Place at the Nelscott Reef Tow-In Contest in '05 and 4th in '07, and 1st Place at Uncle Dicks Pro/Am in Pacifica, CA, along with an appearance on Fuel TV's Daily Habit, Fox is gaining quite a reputation not just in Nor Cal where he's from, but all around the world.

"My favorite spots in the world to surf are the sandbars near my home [of Santa Cruz] when it's on ... Padang Padang, Mavericks, Sewers Lefts, West Oz and Hossegor," says Fox. "And if I could surf like anyone it would be a mix of Parko, Bruce Irons and Shane Dorian."

When Tyler isn't traveling the world, he spends quite a bit of time training ... swimming, lifting weights and doing balance work. He also enjoys movies, photography, skateboarding, reading, and time with friends.

On signing Fox, Imperial Motion General Manager Eric Wicken says, "We are psyched to have Tyler on the Imperial Motion team! His surfing and his attitude are top notch." In addition to IM, Fox's sponsors include Adio, Freestyle, GFH Skateboards, Linden, Screwball, Creatures of Leisure, Hoven and Pacific Wave Surf Shop.
