On-Line Art Auction to Benefit Keep the North Shore Country
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 24 March, 2008 : - - Clark Takashima, an accomplished ocean and landscape artist from Oahu, has generously donated an original 36' x 48' acrylic painting to help raise funds for Keep the North Shore Country. 'Cool Water' depicts a surfer gliding past a honu and ulua from a unique underwater perspective.
Keep the North Shore Country is the group who filed a lawsuit to force a supplemental environmental impact statement for the proposed Turtle Bay Resort expansion. The case will be argued before the Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals on April 9, 2008.
Suing the City and County of Honolulu and a wealthy development company has been expensive. Individual donations, both large and small, have been vital to keeping this vigorous and important legal battle moving forward. This art sale is another opportunity for supporters to help Keep the North Shore Country.
On-line bidding through E-Bay ends 9:15 a.m. HST, Thursday, March 27th.
