Surfboard tracker surfer Sam Page returns to the waves
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 28 March, 2008 : - - A year ago Manly surfer Sam Page fell victim to an attack while out celebrating his 21st birthday. Following a coma and a long lay off, Sam has made a full and successful recovery. Sam said "It's so good to be back surfing competitively again, right now I just feel great" Sam currently rides for Local Motion who uses the Surfboard Tracker system in all their boards. The Local Motion / SBT partnership is working well and SBT were quick to recognise Sam's potential and wishes to support Sam in his come back. Surfboard Tracker (SBT) is a revolutionary surf board security system that helps shapers and retailers authenticate the products they sell. Surfers can register their boards, even contact the Shapers via the system, add pictures of their boards and become part of a surfing community committed to a better surfing future. Todd Ingham, GM for Local Motion said "There seems to be an honesty about SBT, its quietly finding its way into many brands. We look to include this technology in every board we produce, for home and overseas markets. The feedback from Quiksilver, Ripcurl, and our other customers has been good.
I am sure is going to become much more prevalent as time passes. The great thing about SBT is that they are committed to the surf industry and are prepared to put something back in." Any one who wants to know more or wishes to subscribe to the SBT system please feel free to contact them: surfboard-tracker@surfboard-tracker.com www.surfboard-tracker.com
