Irish surf documentary film ‘Sea Fever’ receives critical acclaim in British and Irish media.

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 28 March, 2008 : - - Lahinch, Co. Clare, Ireland –  Sea Fever is a documentary film covering the history of Irish surfing from the early 1960s up to the current big wave tow-surfing movement on Ireland’s Atlantic coast with lots of 60s & 70s archive footage and epic 50 foot big wave sessions at Aileens off the Cliffs of Moher.

Sea Fever features, Mickey Smith, John McCarthy, Easkey Britton, Kevin Cavey, Dan ‘Mole’ Joel, Sam Lamiroy and many more. Alex Dick-Read of Surfer’ Path says, “The film is steeped in dedication and reverence, highly entertaining and full of jaw-dropping waves” while UK mag Pitpilot says “Sea Fever is beautifully shot and slickly edited… an epic production worthy of bigger budgets and the quality of footage is tantamount to O’Sullivan’s skills and dedication..”

The Irish Independent newspaper commented that the film was a ".. slickly edited independently made movie complete with jaw-dropping footage of surfers surfing the Aill na Searracht (Aileens) wave off the Cliffs of Moher. ", while the Irish Examiner newspaper film review gave it Four Stars saying "... an enjoyable documentary and a well made film capturing the thrills, history and spectacular waves, such as the giant Aileens”.
