Ocean Minded Inc. Welcomes Anthony Walsh to its Team of Athletes

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 7 April, 2008 : - - Ocean Minded™ is proud to announce that Anthony Walsh has joined its growing team of athletes. Known for charging waves of consequence, as well as boosting huge airs, Walsh is one of the most versatile surfers in the world.  He finished runner up in the 2007 Teahupoo trials and qualified for the WCT main event, showing the world he is more than comfortable in contest situations.

“Ocean Minded is moving in leaps and bounds!” said an excited Walsh, during a recent surf trip in Western Australia. “The product, the team riders, and the staff members, are all moving in synch and it feels great to join this momentum!”

Originally from Lennox Head, Australia, Walsh spent most of 2007 and the early part of 2008 traveling in search of perfect barrels. He has spent the last six months in Hawaii, where he has often found himself in surf well over 20 feet.

“Hawaii is the ultimate training ground and I wanted to be sure and put my time in over there,” stated Walsh. “On land and in the water, Anthony is a great fit for Ocean Minded,” stated Frankie D’Andrea, the company’s Team Manager.  “He is one of the hardest working professional surfers I have ever seen, and we are very proud to have Walshy traveling the world as brand ambassador.”
