Retailer Appreciation Night announced for SIMA Surf Summit 11

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 30 April, 2008 : - - Aliso Viejo -- SIMA is proud to announce the first-ever Retailer Appreciation Night to be held on Thursday evening, May 15, during SIMA Surf Summit 11 in Los Cabos, Mexico.

Staying with Surf Summit’s theme of uniting the tribe, the dinner will serve as a time to recognize all of the nominees in the Women’s, Men’s and Breakthrough Retailer of the Year Image Award categories, as well as a number of other key retailers joining SIMA in Cabo. Surf Summit attendees will want to be sure to attend this dinner to pay tribute to their retailers.

“We are excited to officially welcome retailers to this year’s SIMA Surf Summit 11,” said Tom Holbrook, chairman of SIMA’s Retail Relations committee. “With the recent formation of the Retail Relations Committee at SIMA, formal communication with our retail partners is now ‘official’ too. In 2008, everyone is already working harder and hopefully this committee helps everyone ‘connect the dots’ a bit more together as one surf industry.

The Retail Appreciation Night on Thursday evening in Cabo will be a great opportunity to recognize all of the nominees, as well as just get together with friends outside of a convention center. The gathering of the tribes in Cabo is even more complete with our retail accounts joining us in the festivities.”

The Retailer Appreciation Night will be held on the second night of Surf Summit before the infamous Transworld Cabo Crawl, and will feature dinner and drinks for all paid Surf Summit attendees. Retailers attending Surf Summit and being honored at the dinner include: Active Ride Shop, Coastal Edge, Hansen’s Boardroom, Huntington Surf & Sport, Jack’s Surfboards, K-5, Macy’s, Pac Sun, Ron Jon, Sun Diego, Surfside Sports and Zumiez.
