TGR's 'Out There' tours the West Coast May 20 - 21st
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 13 May, 2008 : - - The new surf release from TGR, OUT THERE, brought to you by Jeep and SoBe Life Water, is gearing up to hit the road. Created in partnership with the Surfrider Foundation, OUT THERE showcases today’s most progressive surfing, while considering humankind’s impact on the world’s oceans, beaches and waves.
The OUT THERE tour kicks off May 20th in Newport Beach then travels up the West Coast before heading to the Atlantic seaboard this June. Surfrider Foundation Chapters will host events and benefit from 100% of the tour’s proceeds.

Through the experiences of surfers and the locals they meet throughout their travel, the film takes a thought-provoking look into the environmental destruction threatening known and unknown surf spots. OUT THERE questions impending threats to Trestles in Southern California, pulp mill pollution in Southern Chile and unrestricted development along Hawaii’s famed North Shore.
“Out There features local surfers speaking to the issues facing their backyard beaches and waves,” says TGR Co-Founder, Steve Jones. “Taking this film to coastal communities across the country will hopefully inspire more people to take action locally to protect their beaches, while raising money for Surfrider.”
