L*Space Does it Again! - Awarded 'Women’s Swim Brand of the Year 2008' by SIMA

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 20 May, 2008 : - - Lake Forest, Ca – Monica Wise of Orange County-based L*Space swimwear is thrilled to be named Women’s Swim Brand of the Year 2008 for a second time at the 2008 Surf Industry Manufacturers Association (SIMA) Image Awards.

Winners were announced on May 16th at SIMA Surf Summit 11 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.  The goal of the SIMA Image Awards is to identify the surf industry’s most influential companies and recognize them for their efforts to advance and grow the industry over the past year.  L*Space was chosen for having the most exciting designs, brand appeal and for growing its business between January 1 and December 31, 2007.

This awards program is the only awards program that gives the surf industry the opportunity to recognize fellow surf industry companies for their outstanding industry contributions.

"I was pretty shocked when I received the call from Mexico Friday night.  I wasn't expecting it at all this year, but am very humbled that we won,” says Monica Wise, founder of L*Space. “Once again, it was an honor to be amongst great brands like Billabong Girls, Hurley, Roxy and Volcom.”
