Local Motion Surf Into Summer kicks off summer contest circuit

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 21 May, 2008 : - - Honolulu -- Competitors in the Local Motion Surf Into Summer presented by Billabong are zeroing in on the Ala Moana Bowl this upcoming Memorial Day weekend as 300 plus surfers have signed up for the largest contest in Hawaii this coming May 24th through the 26th. 
 
The Local Motion "SIS", presented by Billabong is expected to have waves from a southeast direction and could provide for some quality performance surfing from competitors in thirteen divisions.

Since 1986, it has been a launching pad for many of Hawaii's top past and present professionals including Sunny Garcia, John Shimooka, Ross Williams, Kalani Robb as well as  Joel Centieo, Kekoa Bacalso, Fred Patacchia and Dusty Payne. 
 
Along with the surfing competition off Magic Island, a launch party at Gordon Biersch in the Aloha Tower Marketplace on Saturday, May 24th, from 8:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. will kick off the summer party season with a Local Motion/Billabong fashion show featuring their summer line as well as music by Kapena, Lost at Sea and DJ Eskae from the Nocturnal Sound Krew.
