Darren Handley welcomes Bobby Martinez to the team

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 21 May, 2008 : - - Darren Handley made Bobby some boards for the Quiky pro on the Gold Coast, the feedback was great so then he shaped a new batch for the Bells Beach Pro. With a third place at Bells, it was all worthwhile. The start of good things to come. After his success at Bells, Bobby has decided he wants to ride DHD full time.

'It wasn't one of those million dollar deals that you read about' said DH, ' We just felt we were heading in the same direction, things clicked and it just made sense.' DH likes to keep a close relationship with his team surfing and talking boards in the bay together. The success of these relationships was proven last year, when Mick and Steph took out the world titles. A great result after years of hard work and good times.

'Bobby liked the formula and I am stoked to have him on my boards', said DH.  DH recently shaped a fresh quiver of guns and a bunch of 6'0's for Bobby to ride on the Pacific leg of the tour, GO BOBBY!   Many Surfers of all levels have been enjoying riding the DHD Fanning Signatsignature Model 'I just can't make enough of them' said DH. DH has already working on a 'Bobby Model', so look out for this one soon. '
