Sea Shepherd gets support in St. Jean de Luz, & worldwide
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 22 May, 2008 : - - Quiksilver was proud to host a truly passionate and compassionate evening where the entire Naplai company received a first hand account from Captain Paul Watsons crusade to save marine wildlife.
Established in 1977, the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization whose mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world’s oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.
Since January 07, Quiksilver stores in Australia have been selling a full range of Sea Shepherd clothing, produced by Quiksilver, with $5 AUS from every product sold going to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. Commencing during the Quiksilver Pro France in October, Quiksilver Europe will be stocking the merchandise in most of its Quiksilver Stores across Europe.
The eradication of pirate whaling, poaching, shark finning, unlawful habitat destruction, and violations of established laws in the world's oceans all fall under the Sea Shepherd’s rigorous mandate. If you care about one or more of these causes, Quiksilver recommends you read more about the Sea Shepherd foundation seashepherd.org
