Globe Pro Fiji will kick off in flawless Restaurants today

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 24 May, 2008 : - - Tavarua --  Round 1 of the Globe Pro Fiji has begun in perfect conditions at Restaurants this morning. Today is the first official day of a 13-day waiting period for the fourth of 11 events on the ASP World Tour.

“Conditions at Restaurants are a flawless six foot this morning,” Contest Director Steve Robertson said. “It’s a dream start for what is lining up to be an amazing event back in Fiji.” Event officials have made a call to run all 16 heats of Round 1 and put the first four heats of Round 2 on standby.

“The afternoon should be as good as it ever gets so we are not going to stop until we have to,” Robertson said. Adrian Buchan (AUS), Jordy Smith (ZAF) and Royden Bryson (ZAF) will surf the first heat of the day.
