Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 11 July, 2008 : - - Costa Mesa -- Locked and loaded, all cylinders firing, it’s game time. Stop #4 of the 2008 Rip Curl GromSearch proudly presented by Boost Mobile is dialing up the 808 this weekend, as Maui’s Lahaina Harbor will bear witness to the hottest talent the Aloha state has to offer.

With super talents such as Koa Smith, Dylan Goodale, and Tanner Hendrickson to highlight the star-studded field, there is absolutely no doubt that big things will go down. “I’m really excited to surf another GromSearch event,” stated the newly crowned NSSA Open Boys and Explorer Menehune National Champion, Koa Smith. “I’ll be with all my boys out there, the Harbor is a fun spot to surf, and I want to qualify for the National Final.”

With cash prizes on the line for each division, new Boost Phones for the winners, crazy amounts of prizes, and an invitation to the National Final for the top 2 finishers in each division, you can expect to see the youngsters throw it all on the line.

Immediately after the event, the awards will be hosted at the Rip Curl Surf Center Maui, where all competitors, spectators, Aunties, and Uncles are invited to check out the premiere of Rip Curl’s latest Search flick, “Somewhere…the Movie.”
