Sharpen up your surf skills with legend surf coach & shaper Clayton at the Animal Surf Academy
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 24 July, 2008 : - - Clayton Nienaber, top South African surfer, coach, and board shaper to the stars (Kelly Slater and Adriano de Souza to name a couple), will be running some exclusive surf development workshops for surfers who want to improve their moves at the Animal Surf Academy in August.
For four days only, Clayton will be in Cornwall dedicating his time to passing on a lifetime of experience at the Animal Surf Academy in Newquay and Polzeath. Surfers will be able to work on their turns, technique and training as a result of the day.
With only ten places on the day this will be a rare opportunity. Surfers will be subjected to a grilling routine of new coaching methods including an innovative eye-to-body coordination technique developed by Clayton. The day will also involve exercise and nutrition tips, contest tactics and making use of Headzone helmets which were first tested out at the ASA in October last year.
Headzone helmets are the latest surf-coaching technology to come onto the market and are set to bring a whole new meaning to surf coaching. Clayton will really be able to get inside the surfer's heads communicating with them via walkie talkie from the beach direct into speakers inside the Headzone helmet (which the grom wears whilst out surfing). This unique direct communication makes sure they are maximising each wave, and their potential, throughout the workshop. Any budding surfers out there need to sign up now for this rare chance to be trained by a top level coach on their home turf.
Places will cost £45 per person. To ensure a place on the Clayton professional surf coaching day call the Animal Surf Academy now on 01637 850808 for dates in Newquay (Sat 9 & Sun 10 August) or 01208 880617 for dates in Polzeath (Thu 7 & Fri 8 August).
