Surf Expo Announces Staff Changes
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 24 July, 2008 : - - Atlanta -- After a nine-year tenure with the show, Surf Expo announces Nikki Houston has accepted the position of show director of the Imprinted Sportswear shows and will be leaving dmg world media.
“Seeing Nikki leave Surf Expo is so bittersweet,” says Lori Kisner, Surf Expo show director. ”While we’re going to miss her, we share her excitement about this new opportunity within the trade show industry. We wish her the absolute best as she begins this exciting new chapter in her career.”
Assuming the role of account executive for the Surf category will be Amy Hornby who, as Surf Expo sales director, brings a wealth of experience to the position. “For the past 12 years Amy has proven herself to be an integral part of the Surf Expo sales team and exemplifies our company’s goal to inspire, enthuse, and support the companies we serve,” comments Kisner.
Doog Becker, Skate and Wake category account executive, will now also assume sales responsibility for the Wind category. Kisner explains that Becker, as the former buyer relations manager for Surf Expo’s boardsports sections, is already familiar with the manufacturers and retailers in the Wind industry, and is well positioned for this opportunity.
The next Surf Expo is September 12-14, 2008 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Additional information is available online.
