DC's surf team stars in upcoming surf film 'Dude Cruise'

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 24 July, 2008 : - -DC is proud to announce the upcoming release of Dude Cruise, featuring DC’s surf team of Bruce Irons, Dane Reynolds and Ry Craike. Dude Cruise will premiere September 5, 2008 at the ASR Tradeshow, San Diego, Calif., then release to stores for sale September 12, 2008. 

Dude Cruise will be the first to feature DC’s all-star team of surfers and is the inaugural film from Irons Brothers Productions, a crew that stands at the forefront of modern progressive surfing. The film features footage that has earned the DC Surf Team the reputation as some of the best surfers in the world, but also highlights each surfer’s unique styles in and out of the water. 

“This is such an exciting project for DC’s surf program to take on with Irons Brothers Productions,” said DC Surf and Moto Sports Marketing Manager Tim English. “This movie will not only set the bar for Irons Brothers Productions as an up-and-coming film company, but also showcase the force of DC’s Surf Team. I could not be any more thrilled that we had the opportunity to get on board with this. “

Dude Cruise serves a new take on the standard surf video. Rather than the typical two-minute quick-edit parts seen in the majority of surf films, Dude Cruise shows sessions start to finish — not just the banger clips — to offer a more realistic look at what happens during a day in the water.

Directed by Matt Beauchesne (of Poor Specimen Productions, Trilogy and the Campaign series), Dude Cruise offers a look at the out of the water antics that go down when individuals like Bruce, Dane, and Ry are in the mix, plus, of course, plenty of footage of the guys shredding spots worldwide.

Presented by DC, TransWorld SURF and VAS Entertainment, Dude Cruise is scheduled to premiere September 5, 2008 at ASR in Downtown San Diego.  A movie premiere tour is scheduled to visit select cities across the US in mid September.
