    C4 Waterman & Honolua Surf joining Duke's OceanFest

    Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 12 August, 2008 : - - Honolulu - - C4 Waterman & Honolua Surf, along with Blue Planet, are pleased to announce their 2nd annual schedule of events and activities as part of the upcoming Duke's OceanFest at Queen's Beach, Waikiki, August 17-24, 2008.

    After a hugely successful debut of stand up paddling (SUP) surfing at the OceanFest last year, this year's schedule includes a full array of SUP events. From the world's finest watermen, to pioneers, legends, women, and juniors, there is a division and an event to suit every SUP rider.

    A portion of all proceeds generated through their events and on-site t-shirt sales will go to support the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Foundation. Entry blanks can be found in on-line at c4waterman.com Early sign-up is recommended as spots are filling up fast.

    EVENT SCHEDULE:

    C4 Waterman~Honolua Surf Stand Up Paddle Surfing Competition
    Preliminary rounds will be held on Tuesday, August 19.
    The finals of each division will be held on Saturday, August 23.
    There will be a total of four (4) divisions:
    - Professional
    - Amateur
    - Women
    - Junior (17 and under)
    Competition is open to all.
    Beach entries will be accepted.
    Any size/style of SUP board is permitted.
    Great prizes from C4 Waterman, Honolua Surf, Maui Jim, Vitamin Water, and Coolies.
    Entry fee: $ 75

    C4 Waterman~Honolua Surf SUP Surf Relay
    Tuesday afternoon, August 19, immediately following the SUP competition.
    This will be a fun surf-relay race for 4-person teams.
    All who are entered in the preceding SUP surfing contest are automatically eligible to enter at no extra charge.
    Beach entries on the day for the relay only will be accepted for $20
    12' SUP boards used in the relay WILL BE SUPPLIED 
    The race will feature a short Relay sprint in and out through the surf, around a buoy, and back to the beach.

    C4 Waterman & Honolua Surf Celebration at Tiki's Grill & Bar
    Tuesday evening, August 19, following the SUP competition and Surf Relay. Competitors, family and friends are invited to Tiki's Grill & Bar at 2570 Kalakaua Avenue to celebrate with pupus and a beer keg (ID required).

    C4 Waterman~Honolua Surf 10-Mile Paddleboard Race
    Hawaii Kai to Duke's Restaurant, Waikiki - 10 miles
    Saturday, August 23
    Start time: 11 a.m.
    First finishers expected to arrive to the shore of Duke's Restaurant at around noon.
