Ocean & Earth appoint Reef Wetsuits as South African distributor

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 20 August, 2008 : - - Sydney -- Ocean & Earth International Pty Ltd are proud to announce further international expansion with the appointment of Reef Wetsuits in Cape Town as our new distribution partner in South Africa.

“We are very pleased to be associated with Reef Wetsuits, a well-established business in South Africa and renowned for the quality of service to their retail partners,” Paul Munten, Ocean & Earth International Chief Executive Officer, stated.

“Reef Wetsuits is a family owned and family run business with its roots in making wetsuits designed to withstand the frigid waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Reef Wetsuits’ no nonsense approach to making good wetsuits from the top end of the market right through to entry level is at the heart of their success and longevity. They are committed to supporting South African surfing and have been a trusted brand for over three decades in South Africa.”

Reef Wetsuits Director Grant Stringer stated, “Ocean & Earth is the perfect partner for our brand in South Africa and is a natural and perfect extension to our existing business....Ocean & Earth’s brand globally has been built on its reputation in the surf and snow markets for the last 29 years. The company is privately owned and also committed to quality and integrity just like Reef Wetsuits,” Stringer added.

“Ocean & Earth is two years into a global expansion program and we are also currently reviewing other offshore companies that have expressed interest in Ocean & Earths product lines,” Munten explained. “Selecting the right distribution partner and one that fully understands the breadth of Ocean & Earths product lines is instrumental to us gaining further traction in the South African market.

We are very confident that our partnership with Reef Wetsuits will help drive increased awareness and growth for Ocean & Earth in South Africa.”

“Ocean & Earth’s current Distributors/Licensees around the world have experienced a significant growth across all Ocean & Earth product lines over the past 12 months, with the expectations of both the Company and our Distributors/Licensees being met and exceeded,” Munten said.
