Surf Girls look beyond just Surf Coaching

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 27 August, 2008 : - - These days more and more girls are hitting the waves, with an unsurpassed passion and drive for the fine art of surfing. Surfing is an excellent way to stay in shape, meet new friends and have a blast. 

And what better way to jump right in than book a surf coaching trip, just for girls!

Well here is your chance, Errant Surf Holidays has launched new dates for its next Surfing and Pilates coaching week in the spectacular region of Cantabria in Spain. Starting on the 2nd of November 2008 and running for one week this Novembers Surf and Pilates week is looking to be a cracking one.

Not only is all the coaching tailored to suit, but Errant surf holidays have perfectly blended stunning accommodation with professional surf and Pilates coaching.

Everyone is catered for, so no matter if you have never tried surfing or Pilates before, the team of dedicated surf coaches will be on hand to make sure you get up onto your feet and riding the waves. Joining the Errant team of surf coaches will be International pro-female surfer Celine Gerhart.

Each morning you can wake up to a specifically devised 'surf-fit' Pilates class taken by our very own Amy Swanson, from the Body Control Pilates Centre in London.  Amy has been working closely with Errant over the last couple of years to develop a surf specific programme that ensures you are developing and strengthening your body in the right way to transfer that strength into the water, as well as counter-balancing the opposing muscles post-surf to maintain equilibrium in the body. 

Amy knows exactly how well Pilates can compliment Surfing; "The Pilates method works on awakening muscles needed for balance, poise and control; all very important when popping up to ride that green wave!"

The girls will be staying in Errant Surf Holidays own guesthouse the Hosteria de Latas in Loredo, Spain. Direct flights with Ryan Air from Dublin and London to Santander are currently FREE. The week course which includes all meals, airport transfers, day shopping trip to Santander, all surf coaching, Pilates lessons, CD with surfing photos on it and accommodation is only £549.
