Australian Longboarding mag hits Agnes Waters contest

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 28 August, 2008 : - - Surfing Queensland headed north to Agnes Waters in the middle of winter to spread the love to the longboarders living in those regions way north of Noosa. A nice little swell poured in and the 100-plus competitors were very happy to see it.

The young surfer shown above, Clinton Farlow from Tannum Sands, had a great heat in the Junior Boys, chalking up an 9.0 and a 9.1 in Saturday's heats.  Another young surfer, just 14-years-old, took out the Open Mens! George Cunningham hails from Bundaberg, and he beat Ashley O'Neal, Clinton Farlow, and his older brother Ed in the final.

In other divisions, Ed Cunningham won the Junior Boys, Tahlee Taylor the Open Womens, Sarah Whan the Junior Girls, Michelle Moller the Over 35 Womens, Paul Milroy the Over 50 Mens, Pat Eastwood the Over 35 Mens, and Ashley Caldow the SUPs.
