White Sands Hair Care steps up to aid Dean Randazzo

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 10 September, 2008 : - - White Sands, a professional hair care manufacturer infusing cutting edge science with natural botanicals, is proud to announce their continued sponsorship of sports legend Dean Randazzo, New Jersey's most successful professional surfer.
 
Stricken with cancer in 2001, Dean was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in the midst of a triumphant career.  Word of this misfortune soon reached fellow surfer and friend of Randazzo on the World Qualifying Series, Noel Salas. Now serving as Chief Financial Officer of White Sands Hair Care Inc., Noel immediately came to Randazzo's assistance after his cancer returned for a second time.
 
To ease the financial strain of raising a young son, managing a surfing career, and battling towards a cancer free life, White Sands placed Randazzo on the company's monthly payroll to ensure a steady income for his family.
 
"It's very important to have strong support from people that care during any difficult time: family, friends, sponsors, church groups; whom ever and in what ever form they may be," explains Dean Randazzo about his relationship with White Sands.
 
"The main thing is that these people truly care during a difficult time.  White Sands is one of these people."  Currently, Dean is recovering from a stem cell transplant, marking his 4th month out of the hospital.  The stem cells from his brother Joe have taken 100% with a CT scan showing no signs of cancer.
 
Dean Randazzo's first surf contest will be Fosters Belmar Pro, September 11-14, 2008.  
 
"White Sands loves to make dreams come true and keep them alive, especially in the case of a truly talented individual like Dean," concludes Noel Salas. "In this case, it's not about marketing hair. It's about helping."

In August of 2001, he founded the Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation to assist surfers who can not afford health insurance or medical bills.
