    Sound Off: Airline blood charges for surfboards - is it fair?

    Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 5 October, 2008 : - - Why isn't the surfing industry doing more to protect surfers from unscrupulous airlines that charge very high fees for surfboards checked in as luggage..

    We need to find people in the right places to stop these airlines from ripping us off. Time to get regulations in place and force airlines to stop ripping off surfers ..Baggage charges should be based on weight not volume...Dont just sit there if you travel you know what I mean.

    Start a movement against airlines that screw surfers..If necessary Ban them from operating in our country..Iberia is one example..Imagine getting charged $280.00 one way for a surfboard bag ..it is not right.
