Hyuga Pro presented by ASAHI Hideyoshi Tanaka shows excellence for Day 1

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 8 October, 2008 : - - Hyuga, Miyazaki - ASP WQS 2 STAR events Hyuga Pro presented by ASAHI commenced today at Okuragahama beach this morning with beautiful sunshine. First call this morning was 8:30 and we saw a large  number of Miyazaki local surfers to make it to the round of 64. Out of them it was Koshi Mizumoto and Yasuaki Higashikawa who glided to victory to the higher rounds.

Due to late entry Hideyoshi Tanaka who usually has top seed to entry to higher rounds, was forced to surf the earlier rounds but his action was higher than others and scored a 6.0 and 6.5 to make a total of 12.50 points and the highest scores of this morning action.

Today the event organizers decided to run till the round of 40. It was 8.50 Toshiyuki Takatsu who took honor this afternoon in this round and took both honors of highest wave score of 8.50 and a  total score of 15.00 points this afternoon.

The weather maps look excellent for tomorrow and the coming weekend. Don’t miss the action. Just come to Hyuga for a summer weekend or watch live thru the internet. First call tomorrow morning is 7:30. Event organizers plan to start event at 8AM. Tomorrow the round of 32 for WQS action and also the round of 40 and 32 for LQS is on schedule by event organizers.
