    Rise of Swell Produces Brilliant Surf Conditions for Day 3 of Hyuga Pro presented by ASAHI

    Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 10 October, 2008 : - - ASP WQS 2 STAR event Hyuga Pro presented by ASAH Day 3 today was blessed to great 3 to 5 feet surf faned by a nice wind to produce clean conditions once again today at Oguragahama beach. Today`s action started with the round of 16 and followed by the Quarter finals for WQS then event went into the round of 16 as well as quarter finals for LQS action. 

    In the 1st heat of WQS, Event no.1 seeded surfer Teppei Tajima(JPN) suffered a lost unexpected by all. The winner of this heat was Yujiro Tsuji and in 2nd place moving up was the Mizazaki local Rikiya Kitada. Another unsuspect lost was at heat 3 where 2007 ASP JapanPro Junior Series Grand Champion, Nobuyuki Osawa as well as veteran Tetsuya Urayama was eliminated. This winner of ease of this heat was Darren Turner(AUS) who scored the heat high score of 14.75points with style. 

    The event went straight to the quarter finals and a lot of unsuspected shinarios occured. As the event moves to man on man round it was at heat 2 that the event most favored surfer Hideyoshi Tanaka who surfed against Rikiya Kitada and as both suffered the lack of number of waves they caught, it was once again the local surfer Rikiya Kitada who scored a high 9.25 once again to victory.

    At heat 3 it was Darren Turner once again who made the event high score of the event so far with a 16.00 and moves to the final day planed for the coming Sunday. At heat 4 it was another high seeded surfer Izuki Tanaka who scored behind Jason Shibata(HAW) and suffered a lost. Event organizers went into LQS action right after and today again the local Miyazaki crew fought hard.

    Yasuaki Higashikawa scores a high score of 15.50 and wins higher than Kekoa Uemura (HAW) and moves to the quarter finals. Heat 3 it was another local Masahiro Tooda in 1st and in 2nd was the veteran Kenji MIyauchi who moves up. In heat 4 it was Go Ishikawa as well as Jason Shibata who moves up.

    ASP Japan Tour Manager Masao Ogawa makes a decision to run the quarter finals of LQS action. Exibition match, "Mitsuya Cider Team Challenge presented but Akugare" followed and it was the team "Kobito" who won this match. Tomorrow first call is 7:30 and event organizers plan to run the ASP Japan Pro Junior Grade1 “OCEAN & EARTH TEENAGE RAMPPAGE “comes up tomorrow. Event is planned to run rounds of 32,24 and thru to quarter finals tomorrow.
