    Pichilemu Chile World Cup Tow-In Champs to kick off...

    Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 29 October, 2008 : - - The official competition begins today in Punta de Lobos, located just outside of Chile's national capital, Santiago. The event marks the first time that Chile has hosted a big wave surfing event of this caliber.

    "Good wave conditions are coming our way and the best riders in the world have arrived in Chile for this event," says Chilean surfer Rodrigo 'Flecha' Escobar. The Pichilemu resort where the competition is being held has reported 16-foot-waves. Events will continue through November 2nd.
