    Reef reports some layoffs at its Carlsbad headquarters

    Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 8 January, 2009 : - - Reef has laid off as many as 42 employees from its Carlsbad, CA, headquarters, reports Transworld Business. Kevin Flanagan, Reef's VP of Global Marketing, told Transworld that the layoffs were across the board but had the greatest impact on the apparel department. Flanagan also confirmed to Transworld that the company has licensed its swimwear line to Raj Manufacturing.

    In December, representatives from VF Corp. said there would be a "modest number of job" cuts upcoming due to the current state of the economy.
