Standup Paddle Magazine now available

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 23 February, 2009 : - - Honolulu -- Standup Paddle Magazine hits SUP Retailers across the country next week with it's Polynesian Premiere issue. The large, gloss format is the first 100% all stand up magazine and features all aspects of SUP. From fitness paddling to open ocean as well as wave riding and an equipment guide for the paddle consumer.  Plus all the thousands of personalities that blend the waters together.

What also makes this first issue special is the Enviro journey with Madame Pele. "Paddling With The Living Earth" is a true-life experience which embraces Standup Paddle Magazine with the Earth as both Leleo Kinimaka and publisher Reid Inouye comes face to face with our planet as it is growing. A humbling experience which connect mankind with where it all started.

Says publisher Reid Inouye; "The magazine is a reflection of my life. What I do 24/7. If I'm not doing a Hawaii Kai to Kaimana Beach open ocean run, I'm at Ala Moana Beach Park showing people both the physical and mental benefits of paddling. If the surfs good and the crowds thin out on the north shore, I'll be wave-riding some break alone.

During lag time I'm checking out the latest ultra-light carbon board, a bent shaft Koa wood paddle, talking techniques, designs with the industry.  For me, this is like the first day I caught a wave on a surfboard, the stoke I have, I hope can be shared with others."
