Senegal Surfing Champs go off at Malika Beach

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 17 June, 2009 : - -  The Malika Surf Club staff is proud to announce that the second competition of the Senegal Surfing Championship 2009 ended in big success last week end. 

It took place last week end 13 and 14 of June 2009 the second competition of the Senegal Surfing Championship, in the spot of Malika Beach.

There were 3 surf club and 40 surfers ride the waves of Malika, divided in 4 categories: Open, Juniores, Minimes e Bodyboard. The waves were about half meter hight and glassy, the sun and the music made the ambiance good for the event.

In the Open category is still open the duel for the first absolute place between Omar Seye and François Kirie (who won that competition), between the Juniores the Senegalais Babou Gueye (member of the National Surfing Team) confirmed his 1st place and the same happened between the Minimes with Joris Greusard, while in the Bodyboard category won Omar Niang.

Thanks to the Campement Touristique Les Dunes and Malika Surf Club for the organisation of the event. And also: Kirene, FSS, Surfers Village, Windguru, Dago, Tribal Surf Shop, 221, Walf TV, Le Pass, Malika Monkeys, Radio Oxyjeunes.
